Pizza is almost always a jumble of flavors, so there is no perfect combination. But this is for the best, as the road to experiments is open.
Light reds: Valpolicella, Bardolino, news-world Pinot Noir. Young Montepulciano, Zweigelt, white wine from the Falangina variety (Campania).
Raise the bar slightly in tannins, in saturation. Barbera, Chianti, Merlot, Cabernet Franc from northeastern Italy, Austrian Blaufrankisch.

Cold cuts pizzas. Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere, Argentine Malbec, Shiraz from Australia, Bordeaux Superior red wines.
Rosé wines: Provence, Languedoc, rose Malbec, Moorevedere from South Africa, spicy rosés. Truffle pizza – Nebbiolo from Lange, Aglianiko, Zweigelt, Blaufrankisch.
🍕 4 cheeses
Fragrant whites: Vermentino, dry Gewurztraminer from Trentino, Friulano, dry Riesling from Chile. Pizza with chicken, turkey – Chardonnay “medium oak”.
Southern Chardonnay without oak, Sauvignon Blanc, Austrian Gruner Veltliner, Chenin Blanc from South Africa, Pinot Gris (Grigio).
🍕 Hawaiian (pineapple, chicken, hash)
Riesling from the Palatinate or Rheingessen, Vermentino (Sardinia)
Seva and the Italians themselves believe that wine should not cost more than pizza. Ordered for 1000 rubles. yummy – be so kind and take no more wine.
Understanding domestic realities, and our own, sometimes even too much, deliberately utilitarian attitude to wine (the main thing is that it is tasty, and then at least the grass does not grow) …
So that’s it. With all this in mind, drink whatever your heart desires. Good Champagne, aged Kava will “take” almost any pizza.
